Addressing concerns about AI design tools and intellectual property, Canva announces “The Creator Compensation Program.” This initiative involves a substantial three-year, $200 million commitment to compensate Canva Creators who grant permission for the company to use their content in training its proprietary AI models.
Melanie Perkins, co-founder and CEO of Canva, expressed her excitement about the launch of Magic Studio, stating, “With a focus on making complex things simple, Magic Studio has been built for the 99% of the world without complex design training.”
The majority of Canva’s new AI tools are available for free, with certain advanced features like “Magic Grab,” “Magic Animate,” and “Magic Switch” reserved for Canva Pro subscribers. Canva’s commitment to accessible and innovative design tools underscores its dedication to making the world of design more inclusive and user-friendly.
