Audi Refutes Rumors, Remains Committed to F1 Entry in 2026

Audi’s impending entry into Formula 1, slated for 2026, has been generating buzz even though the German marque is still two years away from its debut. Recent rumors suggested that Audi might reconsider its participation in the sport before even entering it. However, the automaker has stepped up to dispel such speculations.

Audi is set to partner with the Sauber team, which is currently known as Alfa Romeo. The Hinwil-based squad is preparing to revert to its Sauber name for the 2024 and 2025 seasons before undergoing a rebranding as Audi starting in 2026. This long-awaited move marks the VW Group’s entry into the world of Formula 1.
