Audi has lifted the covers off its Concept C, showing everyone what the future replacement for the TT might look like, and surprise surprise, it’s fully electric. This sleek two-door coupe genuinely looks close to hitting the road, sporting clean lines, a low stance, and an uncluttered design that goes against the trend of oversized grilles and fussy details.
The Concept C is the first big reveal from Audi’s head designer Massimo Frascella and signals a bold shift in the brand’s design language. We ca also expect the “vertical” face, inspired by classic Audi race cars, to make its way across upcoming models. Inside, the car swaps out leather for wool and other natural fabrics, uses an anodized aluminum dashboard, and features Audi’s signature dial controls on the steering wheel. The infotainment is handled by twin digital displays and a haptic strip beneath for climate and other settings.
Rumors suggest the car will share its electric platform with next-gen Porsche Boxster and Cayman models. Audi claims the concept is nearly production-ready, giving fans hope for a sports car renaissance after retiring the TT and the iconic R8. Concept C’s public debut is set for the IAA Mobility show in Munich.
Brands all over the world are starting to pick up the pace when it comes to developing and transitioning to EVs, and Audi bringing us a TT replacement in EV form is definitely something interesting because the model was iconic when is was under production and to have a taste of that in electric form could really be a gamechanger for the brand.
