Astell & Kern, known for its hi-res audio players and collaborations with Campfire Audio, is unveiling the second-generation version of its Astell & Kern UW100 earbuds.
The new UW100MKII earbuds maintain their distinctive pentagon design and offer a significant upgrade in battery life. They provide a total of 29 hours of playback when considering both the earbuds and the charging case, with 9.5 hours of playtime from just the earbuds alone. In comparison, the first-generation UW100 earbuds provided only six hours of playtime with a total of 24 hours including the charging case.
This enhanced battery life can be especially valuable for individuals who require longer playtime, whether it’s for road trips, flights, or extended use without access to charging. The improved battery performance brings the UW100MKII earbuds in line with some other premium offerings on the market, such as the Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2.
