Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro display leak reveals super-thin bezels

According to new leaks, the upcoming iPhone 15 models will feature super-thin display bezels, continuing Apple’s trend of prioritizing the screen above all else. The leaked images, shared by renowned tipster Ice Universe, reveal glass components for the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max, showcasing the thin bezels in question.

According to the leaker, the iPhone 15 will sport bezels of 2.1mm (0.083 inches), matching the size of the iPhone 14 Pro. Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will boast even thinner bezels, matching the previously rumored 1.55 millimeters (0.061 inches) thickness. These changes are subtle and may not be immediately noticeable in the leaked photos.

Additionally, all of the iPhone 15 models are expected to feature more rounded edges, contributing to their overall aesthetic appeal. The smaller notch and Dynamic Island feature, which were previously exclusive to the more expensive Pro models, will be included in all iPhone 15 models this time around.

Rumors suggest that Apple is also working on embedding the Face ID sensor and other components under the display, eliminating the need for a notch altogether. Furthermore, some iPhone 15 models may replace mechanical buttons with solid-state versions, furthering Apple’s goal of creating minimalist and compact designs.

Apple is set to unveil the iPhone 15 series around September, as is customary. However, more details about the upcoming iOS 17 are expected to be revealed at the WWDC 2023 event in June.
