The Library reference tool will read a game’s cartridge and then display information about that title, such as the system, developer, publisher, and even game revision. Analogue has grander plans for Library in the future: it wants it to be a searchable “scholarly cataloguing of the totality of video game history.” According to Analogue’s timetable, an improved version of the Library will be accessible in September.
