Activision Blizzard confirmed that the vaccine obligation is no longer in effect, the staff will strike on April 4th

Workers at Activision Blizzard have announced that they will walkout in protest of the company’s decision to no longer require them to get vaccines for work in the United States. Activision Blizzard issued a statement that the mandate has already been lifted. A Better ABK, a group of Activision Blizzard employees who want better working conditions, stated on Friday that the employees will walk out of work on April 4th at 1 PM ET in protest.

Jessica Gonzalez, a former Activision Blizzard employee and founder of A Better ABK, first exposed the company’s immunization policy change on Thursday evening through Twitter. She provided the wording of an email written by Brian Bulatao, the company’s chief administrative officer, in a series of screenshots. “Effective now, we are eliminating our vaccination requirement for all US employees,” Bulatao writes in the text supplied by Gonzalez. Bulatao also reviewed the company’s return-to-office policy, recognizing that they varied per division.

“As part of their return to the office, Blizzard and Activision Blizzard had multiple feedback sessions and polls over a three-month period, at the conclusion of which they decided to mandate the vaccine for new employees,” an ABK Workers Alliance official said.
