Spider-Man Noir is a reimagining of the web-slinging hero that originally appeared in the 2009 Marvel comic series of the same name. In the comic version, Spidey is newly bitten and navigating New York City’s Depression-era criminal underground in 1933. The character, who resides in a parallel dimension to the canonical Spider-Man storylines, was also voiced by Nicolas Cage in the 2018 film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The story does not say if Cage will be involved in the new project, but the actor has already stated that he was not invited to return for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the impending animated sequel.
