Revival of a Classic RTS: Now Powered by Blockchain – Experience the New Era!

The classic Korean real-time strategy game, Kingdom Under Fire, has recently been embroiled in controversy as players accuse the developer, Bloom Technology, of being involved in a crypto-scam. The accusations surfaced when a Steam player, Arsene Lupin, posted a review claiming that the game’s current iteration runs a background process called “Locus Game Chain,” which demands an excessive amount of CPU power.

In response to the allegations, Bloom Technology swiftly addressed the issue, explaining that there had been a misunderstanding. They clarified that the 22-year-old RTS had replaced its P2P networking system, previously known as wargate.net, with its own Locus Chain technology. According to the developer, Locus Chain is intended to reduce server maintenance costs and revitalize old online games, providing a cost-effective solution for game developers.
