You may now customise your Steam Deck’s lock screen

Valve revealed Monday that the latest Steam Deck update includes a lock screen for the mobile gaming PC. Because of the change, you can now establish a PIN when you wake the device from sleep, which could prevent anyone who shouldn’t have access to your device from doing so. After installing the update, you may enable the lock screen and establish a PIN in the Steam Deck’s settings menu via a new Security option.

A number of additional helpful adjustments are also included in the update. According to Valve, the achievements page has been “refreshed,” and it is now “faster to load and easier to navigate.” There are customised keyboards for 21 languages and layouts, and you can use multiple keyboards at once, while Valve says it’s “currently working” on keyboards for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.

In addition, the Steam Deck now supports games and programmes that have many windows, such as web browsers or games with launchers, and you’ll be able to switch between them by clicking the Steam button while in a game.

The update is now live, and the complete patch notes can be seen here. You may start the update by hitting the Steam button, then heading to Settings, System, and Software Updates.
