Vishal Kapadia, Senior Vice President of Energy Transformation at Walmart, stated, “Easy access to on-the-go charging is a game-changer for drivers who have been hesitant to purchase an EV.” The company is actively seeking energy suppliers for this initiative, having previously worked with providers such as EVgo and VW’s Electrify America. Each participating Walmart store will receive four chargers, and the company has committed to keeping energy prices affordable, though specific cost estimates have not been disclosed.
