In a blog post, the firm revealed a number of new additions to its mobile app and overall service, including extended availability of Uber Reserve, instructions to pickup, walking ETAs, and additional capabilities for corporate users.
Secondly, Uber Reserve will be expanded to enable customers to schedule trips up to 90 days in advance. According to the firm, there should be ample time for many people to reserve an Uber at the same time they book their hotel and flight.
In addition, the business is introducing “Directions to Pickup,” a new tool that will employ step-by-step in-app instructions to take passengers from their gate to the airport’s Uber pickup location. According to Uber, the new capability is already accessible at 30 airports worldwide, with plans to extend to additional airports “in the coming months.”
Walking ETAs, which will predict how long it will take to travel from your gate to the baggage claim, will also be available “soon,” making it easier to determine when to seek a ride from the service. Uber claims that when it does start, it will be accessible at more than 400 airports across the globe.
Business Comfort, a new transportation option for Business clients in certain cities, was also revealed by the business. Uber is also making it easier to purchase Uber Eats at airports.
The news comes only a few weeks after the business launched a big app overhaul and started rolling out CarPlay integration.
