Twitter CEO fires senior executives and stops recruiting

Beykpour has led the creation of many of its major features and design modifications over the previous many years as its product leader and, most recently, GM of consumers. It’s a remarkable move given that Agrawal only recently reconfigured his executive team with the departure of Twitter’s design and engineering heads, leaving Beykpour at the helm of consumer products.

Beykpour has been with Twitter since it acquired Periscope, the live streaming firm he co-founded, in 2015. As Twitter incorporated Periscope’s live streaming features into its main app, Beykpour transitioned into the bigger organization, becoming its head of consumer product in 2018 and overseeing an extraordinarily active period of feature launches in the years that followed. Periscope was finally decommissioned last year.

“When everything is said and done, it’s the effort that matters: We upgraded our ad serving, prediction, analytics, attribution, invoicing, API, and many more systems, considerably boosting our dependability and scalability,” Bruce Falck remarked in his own thread.
