The new Dimensity 8000 series chips are also found in the Redmi K50 Pro, OnePlus phones, and the Oppo K10 series

Realme revealed that the GT Neo3 will be one of the first phones to employ the Dimensity 8100 chip, which was released by MediaTek shortly after. But it’s not the only phone vying for the title; Xiaomi’s Redmi K50 Pro, according to Lu Weibing from Xiaomi, will be one of the first.

The new K50-series models are expected to arrive later this month (at the very least, the Pro and a vanilla variant). The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset is used in the Redmi K50 Gaming, which is already official. The K40 Gaming featured a Dimensity 1200 processor, whereas the K40 Pro and K40 Pro+ used a Snapdragon 888 processor.

OnePlus is also interested in the Dimensity 8100 processor. The business did not provide any other information, although this is most likely for a new Nord model (the Nord 2 and Nord CE 2 use a Dimensity 1200 and 900, respectively). According to reports, the Nord 2T will employ the Dimensity 1300, but it’s possible that the 8100 will be used instead (or a different Nord)

Oppo has announced that the Dimensity 8000 will be used in the Oppo K10 series. The teaser does state “8000 series,” thus it could be referring to the 8100. The GPU on the Dimensity 8000 is slower than the 8100, but the K-series is more about value for money mid-rangers than gaming phones, so either processor is a good choice.

The first smartphones with a Dimensity 8000 series chip are expected to be released in Q1 of this year, according to MediaTek
