Samsung has gotten us used to receiving a slew of software updates left and right since releasing One UI 4, which was based on Android 12. However, months have passed, and the next shiny thing is One UI 4.1, which was introduced with the S22 series of smartphones. A slew of improvements to the current edition of the Korean company’s skin for its older devices have been released, and today we have two more to include in the list.
We’re referring to the Galaxy S20 FE 5G and the original Galaxy Fold, to be specific. The S20 FE 5G is now receiving the One UI 4.1 upgrade in Poland, however the update should be available in other European nations shortly after. In addition to the March 2022 security patch, which addresses over 50 vulnerabilities, the updated firmware version is branded G781BXXU4FVC2. It should go without saying that this one should be placed as quickly as feasible after that.
Similarly, the original Galaxy Fold from 2019 is receiving an update to One UI 4.1, which is currently available in France for the 4G variant and the United Kingdom for the 5G form of the phone. Depending on whatever model you have, the updated build number is F90xxXXU6HVC6, with “xx” varying depending on which model you have. As was the case with the Galaxy S20 FE, the upgraded software for the original Fold should be made available in more European countries in the next days and weeks, similar to what happened with the Galaxy S20 FE.
It is possible to manually check for the new update if you own one of these three phone models (S20 FE 5G, Fold 4G, or Fold 5G) and live in one of the aforementioned countries by navigating to Settings > Software update if you haven’t already received a notification about the upgrade.
