Tesla denies terminating employees in New York in reprisal for union action

According to Tesla, the company conducts performance reviews every six months and workers are graded from 1 to 5 for each cycle. The most recent review cycle took place from July 2022 through December 2022, and the company said it identified the employees who would be let go on February 3rd, over a week before the union campaign was announced. Managers were also reportedly informed in December that low performers would be exiting the company on the week of February 12th.
