New NordicEPOD factory opens to boost production of power modules for faster construction of data centers

Eaton and CTS Nordics have officially opened the new NordicEPOD factory in Oslo, marking a significant advancement in data center construction. The facility will manufacture standardized power modules, known as EPODs, which can expedite data center construction by weeks. Utilizing Eaton’s EnergyAware UPS technology and SF6-free medium voltage switchgear, these power modules provide energy-efficient, reliable power supply for up to 2MW. With the growing demand for data center capacity driven by AI applications, the factory aims to support this surge while employing a workforce of 300.
