Sergio Perez Dismisses Retirement Rumors, Remains Committed to F1

Perez Addresses Retirement Speculation and Vows to Bounce Back in Formula 1

Addressing these retirement speculations ahead of the United States Grand Prix, Perez brushed off the rumors, saying, “I’m just laughing at it. There’s nothing I can do. I am fully focused on my job.” He emphasized his contractual commitment to Red Bull for the upcoming season, asserting, “I have a contract for next year, and no reason not to respect that contract. I’m going to give my very best to it.” Moreover, Perez made it clear that he sees his future in Formula 1 extending beyond his current contract, stating, “more than that, it will not be my final contract in F1.”

While Perez remained unwavering about his future in Formula 1, he acknowledged that his recent performances have been subpar. Under increased pressure to secure second place in the Drivers’ Championship, Perez admitted that his past races had not met his standards.
