Sony is releasing another PlayStation exclusive for PC. According to an early teaser shared to Sony’s PlayStation Latin America YouTube channel, Sackboy: A Big Adventure will be released on PC on October 27th. The clip, which Nibel discovered on Twitter, reveals that the PC version of Sackboy: A Big Adventure will be much improved.
Support for 4K and 120fps is specified, as well as ultrawide 21:9 aspect ratio displays, Nvidia’s DLSS, and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR). Following a resolution and graphics upgrade on the PS5 edition, these are the finest updates to Sackboy: A Big Adventure yet.
Sackboy: A Big Adventure is the latest in a long series of PC-exclusive PlayStation titles. Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered was released on PC last month, after the releases of Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, and God of War in recent years. Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will also be available on PC on October 19th, followed by Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales later this autumn.
Sony has been focusing more on PlayStation PC conversions, with the goal of having 50% of its titles available on PC and mobile by 2025. Sony even began utilizing the PlayStation PC name last year, in addition to employing a PC port developer.
Sackboy: A Big Adventure on PC was announced barely one day after a PC version of the Returnal settings menu leaked. Sony proved its validity by copyright striking the YouTube video, but the settings video revealed support for ray-traced shadows and reflections, as well as Nvidia’s DLSS. Sony may also be working on its own PlayStation PC launcher since references to the launcher were uncovered in Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered’s latest PC release.
