The expansion doesn’t end here, as PIA has also broadened its dedicated IP offerings to include well-known hubs such as Brussels, Stockholm, Houston, and San Jose (Silicon Valley). Unlike static IP addresses, a dedicated IP grants users a unique and exclusive IP address, eliminating the need for recurring verification processes. This is especially useful for accessing secure services like online banking platforms, which often require a fixed IP address.
It’s worth noting that PIA offers dedicated IP services for an additional fee, starting at less than $2 per month with its three-year subscription.
These announcements coincide with Cybersecurity Awareness Month, underscoring PIA’s mission to enhance internet security, accessibility, and freedom by combating censorship and surveillance. Himmat Bains reiterated PIA’s commitment to safeguarding user online activities and protecting personal data, saying, “At Private Internet Access, our core commitment is to deliver the highest level of online privacy and security. We continue to look for ways to give our users the extra flexibility and accessibility they need in a rapidly changing digital landscape. As always, we remain dedicated to safeguarding our users’ online activities and protecting their personal data.”
