On YouTube, you can watch the first Halo episode for free

The live-action Halo series on Paramount Plus is currently in its second episode, but the first is now available for free on YouTube. As long as you’re in the United States, you can watch Halo’s debut episode on YouTube.

The Halo show is unlike the games, and Verge video games columnist Ash Parrish, a self-described Halo mythology enthusiast, thinks it “provides a considerably more intriguing look into the Master Chief than the games have done thus far.”

Master Chief is played by Pablo Schreiber of American Gods, Dr. Halsey is played by Natascha McElhone of Californication, and Master Chief’s AI aide is played by Jen Taylor, who voiced Cortana in the Halo games. The sitcom, which was previously renewed for a second season, premiered on March 24th on Paramount Plus.

This is not the first time that streaming services have attempted to entice viewers with free episodes on YouTube. The pilot episode of the Star Trek: Picard series debuted on YouTube a few years ago, and the first episode of season two of Tuca & Bertie is also available for free on YouTube.

In the United States, Canada, Australia, the Nordics, Latin America, and the Middle East, new episodes air weekly on Paramount Plus (through a pay TV channel). Subscribers to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate can take advantage of a complimentary 30-day membership to Paramount Plus.
