The Fire TV Omni QLED series is available for pre-order now and will be available through Best Buy’s website starting May 11th. The Fire TV 2-Series is available for purchase on Amazon’s website as of now. Amazon’s new release is well-timed, as Roku has recently launched its own in-house TVs, with prices ranging from $149 to below $500. While the two companies’ offerings do not directly compete, Amazon’s revised lineup is better suited to compete against Roku’s. Ultimately, the goal for both companies is to get their platform and services into consumers’ living rooms, as opposed to just selling hardware.
