NASA Image of the Day: The LARGEST Rock in the Solar System!

NASA has unveiled a new image of our solar system’s “biggest rock,” which is none other than Earth. The famous “Pale Blue Dot” photograph was captured by NASA’s Voyager 1 probe in 1990 from the outer Solar System.

The United States Space Agency has proven that Earth is larger than every known asteroid, moon, and comet nucleus and that it is larger than any nearby solid planet. Its massive size leads gravity to produce a gigantic ball that traps heavy gases near its surface.

This rock has orbited its parent star nearly 5 billion times, completing over 350 spins on each journey.

NASA offers greetings to all the people of this rock we name Earth as we begin another orbit around our parent star and a new year on the Gregorian calendar.

Prior to the recent finding of massive, dense planets orbiting other stars, Earth was the biggest rock known to man.

The “Pale Blue Dot” image reminds us of our place in the universe and the importance of caring for our planet.
