Microsoft receives Oracle support for AI innovation

When you think about it, Microsoft’s market share in the cloud services market stands at 23%, while Oracle’s is not even half of that, which is why neither of the parties stand to lose anything. Microsoft will leverage Oracle’s cloud services to make Bing better, while Oracle will use Microsoft’s clout in the market to leapfrog their competitors. Right now, it looks like a win-win situation for both companies and we are sure to see big AI innovations coming from Microsoft in the coming future.

When asked about this new partnership, Microsoft’s global head of marketing for Search & AI, Divya Kumar, said: “Our collaboration with Oracle and use of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure along with our Microsoft Azure AI infrastructure, will expand access to customers and improve the speed of many of our search results.”
