Microsoft Outlook for Mac Goes Free: Premium Features Now Available to All Users

Microsoft announced today that Outlook is now available for free to all Mac users. Before, using the email client app required a Microsoft 365 membership.

With Microsoft Outlook for Mac, you can manage several accounts in a single software, including Google, iCloud, Microsoft, Yahoo, IMAP, and others. According to a blog post, when you log into Outlook using a personal email account, “you receive enterprise-grade security, including secure sign-on to verify and safeguard your identity.”

The app has a simple layout, and you can keep track of your email and calendar while using other applications by checking your schedule with a widget or a reminder in the Notification Center. You may take up work where you left off across iOS and Mac devices with Apple’s Handoff function.

In a future version, Microsoft Outlook will have Profiles, which will tie your email accounts to Apple’s Focus experience. You won’t get unsolicited messages at the incorrect times, allowing you to concentrate on that crucial professional email without interruptions from your personal one.

For users with several accounts, the all-accounts view allows you to handle all of your inboxes at once without switching back and forth. According to Microsoft, this is an excellent method to view all incoming communications as they arrive and decide how to reply.

The Microsoft Outlook app is free to download from the App Store.
