Microsoft has announced that important improvements to its Windows 10 operating system have been finished. In a blog post published on Thursday, Microsoft stated that Windows 10 version 22H2 is the final version of the operating system and that it will continue to issue monthly security updates for all editions of Windows 10 until October 14, 2025, when it will reach the end of service.
However, existing long-term servicing channel (LTSC) releases will continue to receive updates after the end of the support date. However, because no new feature updates are planned for Windows 10, Microsoft recommends that users upgrade to Windows 11.
Users can continue to use Windows 10 after the end-of-support date, but their PCs will become more vulnerable to different security concerns without additional security updates. Microsoft released Windows 11 in October 2021, and it was made available to all eligible devices in May 2022.
Windows 11 includes new design elements, as well as new functions and productivity tools. Microsoft’s next operating system is designed to provide customers with a better and more secure experience, with improved performance and security safeguards.
After finishing major improvements to Windows 10, Microsoft is now focusing on its most recent operating system, Windows 11, and will continue to offer updates and new features for it. The move is consistent with the company’s objective of focusing on its most recent goods and services while also providing a more secure and smooth user experience.
