As with any new display technology, early adopters often pay a premium, but as manufacturing processes improve, yields increase, and economies of scale come into play, prices tend to come down. Just like with OLED technology, which took about a decade to become more affordable, Micro LED is on a faster track to becoming accessible to a broader market.
