Leaked Renders and Camera Features Shed Light on Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro

Official-Looking Renders and Camera Feature Details Emerge for Google's Upcoming Flagship Phones

As the excitement surrounding the iPhone 15 launch starts to wane, the spotlight now turns towards the highly anticipated Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. Two new leaks have provided further insights into what we can expect from these flagship smartphones.

The first leak presents official-looking renders of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, which were obtained by MySmartPrice, as reported by Android Authority. While Google has already released its own images of the devices, these leaked renders offer additional perspectives and showcase a variety of colors.

According to this source, prospective buyers can anticipate color options such as Peony Rose, Grey, and Obsidian Black for the Pixel 8, while the Pixel 8 Pro will come in Sky Blue, Porcelain, and Black Obsidian. It appears that only the Black Obsidian color will be carried over from the previous Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.

The leaked renders also provide a closer look at the camera bumps and their protrusion from the main chassis. These images align with Google’s official releases, suggesting a high degree of accuracy.

The second leak focuses on the camera features expected in the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. With an emphasis on photography and videography, these phones are poised to deliver an impressive imaging experience, and additional details have surfaced.

A video discovered by 91mobiles, as reported by Android Police, showcases the camera features that will be offered by these smartphones. The list includes Video Boost, Night Sight for video, Audio Eraser for reducing background noise, and Magic Editor – which allows users to create composite images where everyone is captured with a smile simultaneously.

While some of these features had been previously mentioned, this leaked video seems to be an official production by Google, presumably intended for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro launch. It provides a comprehensive demonstration of these tools in action. The remaining question is which, if any, of these features will be exclusive to the Pixel 8 Pro, which boasts a more advanced camera setup.

Additionally, the leak provides a breakdown of the camera specifications for both models: the Pixel 8 is equipped with a dual-lens 50MP+12MP ultrawide camera, while the Pixel 8 Pro features a triple-lens configuration consisting of a 50MP main camera, a 48MP ultrawide camera, and a 48MP telephoto lens.

Both the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are scheduled to be unveiled on Wednesday, October 4, promising exciting innovations in the world of smartphone photography and technology.
