Lando Norris, who had grown accustomed to competitive positions on the grid in recent years, eagerly anticipates the fitting of these new parts, hoping to salvage strong results in the second half of the season. Speaking about the impending developments, Norris expressed his enthusiasm for anything new and highlighted the extensive effort that went into the upgrades. McLaren has been patient with their previous setup, continuously working on various aspects of their performance. Although they have not brought significant lap time improvements since the beginning of the year, Norris believes they have been doing a commendable job given the circumstances.
Unfortunately, apart from a fortuitous sixth-place finish in Australia, Norris has only managed two ninth-place finishes this season. Currently languishing in the midfield, he holds the 11th spot overall. However, buoyed by their previous year’s success, where they secured fourth place in the Constructors’ Championship ahead of Alpine, McLaren remains hopeful of a turnaround as the upgrades are fitted in Austria, Britain, and Hungary.
