iPhone 15 Rumored to Reintroduce Beloved iPhone 12 Color Option

As the launch of Apple’s iPhone 15 lineup draws nearer, details about the available colors for the upcoming flagship devices are beginning to surface. The latest reports suggest that the iPhone 15 will bring back a fan-favorite color option from the iPhone 12.

According to a recent Weibo post, which was spotted by 9to5Mac, the Pro models of the iPhone 15, namely the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, will be offered in a “crimson” shade. This new dark red color is expected to be slightly lighter than the Deep Purple color currently available on the iPhone 14 Pro but will still retain a deep and rich appearance.

Additionally, the standard models of the iPhone 15, namely the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, are said to have their exclusive color option. The same Weibo leaker mentions that Apple plans to introduce a mint-like green color for these devices, described as being similar to the green color offered on the iPhone 12 and iPhone 11.

It’s worth noting that rumors of a green iPhone have circulated before. The same Weibo user who accurately leaked the existence of the yellow iPhone 14 also previously suggested that the iPhone 15 would be available in a Cyan color option. While cyan tends to lean more towards turquoise than mint green, it seems that the consensus among leakers is that a green color reminiscent of the iPhone 12’s shade will make a return with the iPhone 15.

In addition to the color options, the iPhone 15 is rumored to incorporate other features from previous iPhone models. Reports indicate that all four models of the iPhone 15 will feature slightly curved edges, reminiscent of the design seen on the iPhone 11. Furthermore, it is highly likely that the standard iPhone 15 will adopt a matte glass rear panel similar to the iPhone 14 Pro and include a 48MP main camera, a feature that has been exclusive to Apple’s Pro-level iPhones since the iPhone 13 Pro.
