iNew V8 Review.

iNew first came into notice of everyone and rose to instant fame after the release of its iNew V3 release. In spite of having a technical flaw with the battery of the device, the iNew V3 was praise for its original and sleek design. Now they have come up with a new device named iNew V8 which is in fact a clone of the Oppo N1 – an upcoming brand in the making with some exciting innovative devices.

For now, let’s look at the review of iNew V8:

Design, Look and Feel

Anyone could mistake the iNew V8 to be Oppo N1, such is the similarity between these two devices. As a matter of fact, I am now bored with devices cloning the looks of Samsung so I don’t see it as a major issue where iNew V8 has mimicked the latest Oppo N1. Though, I would love to know what the Oppo team has to say about that. Many tech enthusiasts have already criticized the company which otherwise had received a lot of praise for its unique and original designs in the past.

The iNew V8 features a swiveling camera on the top completely identical to the Oppo N1. The rotating camera feature is the basic reason for this device to be declared as the clone of Oppo N1, else there are some visible differences in both the devices whether it’s the menu buttons at the bottom of the border designs. The device feels great on hand while people who love capturing their selfies every now and then can really enjoy with a 13MP camera on both sides.

Display and Features

The device features a 5.5-inch HD IPS Display which easily classifies it as a phablet. With this screen size, the device is ideal for watching videos and playing games. Although, the display of the device doesn’t get even close to a retina, it gives a decent display with clarity to your pictures and videos at a decent ppi of 267 with a resolution of 1280 x 720p.

The iNew V8 runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat Operating System. It’s a dual SIM phone which is ideal now days for those who keep two numbers – for personal and business purpose.

Camera and Internal Storage

The most exciting feature about the iNew V8 is its Camera for which it is highly criticize as the device has copied the concept of recently launched device Oppo N1. Yes, the iNew V8 features a swiveling camera – rotating camera feature the makes this device stand out from other devices in the market in the same range. With a 13 megapixel rotating camera that can be switched as Primary or Secondary camera as you wish with dual flash is the USP of this device and would be a guaranteed hit among buyers who love clicking pics every now and then.

The device also comes with a decent 16 GM internet storage along with 1 GB RAM to support the swift functionality of processes in the device. It also allow increasing the memory storage up to 32 GB externally.

Processor and Battery

The iNew V8 is powered by a MTK6591 processor which is in fact a Hexa Core version of the MTK6592 processor. The company has confirmed that the V8 running on the MTK6591 Hexa Core processor will prove to be better than any dual core, quad core or octa core processors.

While the Hexa Core processor gives the power to the iNew V8, the fuel is derived from the 2,400mAh battery. Although, it is equipped with a decent battery in terms of its size, the iNew devices have often disappointed with poor battery life. The iNew V8 isn’t spared either as they could have done better.

Connectivity

Before the launch of iNew V8, there were many rumors flowing around the web that this latest entry into the gadgets arena would feature 4G LTE. But now it is officially confirmed to be a rumor as the iNew V8 is a 3G smartphone that supports WCDMA 850 / 2100 MHz. It comes out as a bad news for Americans as the country don’t support 3G at that frequencies while the European and the Asian market will enjoy a flawless 3G data connectivity with the iNew V8.

Besides that, the iNew V8 would also support Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/h, Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0, EDGE, HSPA, HSUPA connectivity platforms.

Conclusion

Though, with a minor flaw with the battery life and the fact that after all it’s a clone of Oppo N1, the iNew V8 will yet turn out to be the most sought after device. It will definitely attract many buyers with the 13 MP swiveling camera feature ideal for clicking pics.
