Hyundai’s Ioniq 5 N EV will go on sale in March

Hyundai just spilled the beans on the Ioniq 5 N, their first high-performance electric vehicle set to hit the streets next March. Ioniq 5 N is like the sportier sibling of the Ioniq 5 family.

Get this – it can go from 0 to 60 MPH in just a tad over three seconds, and it zooms up to a top speed of 161 MPH. That’s some serious power! Under the hood, or well, under the electric car magic, are dual motors pumping out a whopping 641 horsepower with the special N Grin Boost engaged. Yep, it’s fast.

The Ioniq 5 N packs a fancy 84 kWh battery with a nifty thermal system to prevent power loss due to heat. And when you’re running low, a quick pit stop at a DCFC 350 kW charger will take you from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes.

Hyundai loaded this ride with high-performance features. There’s the tuned N R-MDPS steering system, N Pedal system for snappy handling, N Drift Optimizer for perfect drift angles, and an N Brake Regen system to save that precious energy.

Hyundai has elevated the driving experience with precise control in not so suitable driving conditions. To make the trip entertaining, they have even added in a 10-speaker sound system. But the coolest detail is the N badge that has been sprinkled throughout the interior of the car, from the steering wheel to the pedals, and much more. Coming to the infotainment system, Hyundai has given te customers a tech haven, with wireless charging, USB-C ports, and even a cup holder.

Now, the price tag is still a mystery, but given all these bells and whistles, it’s safe to say it’ll be a bit more than the standard Ioniq 5, which starts at $39,700.
