The Gmail app will now stop syncing mail from the account you have disabled. You will not receive any notifications about new emails unless you personally decide to enable this account again.
The beauty of this feature is that the account will be disabled only on Gmail. So, other aspects of the account will still be active on your device. This way, you don’t have to keep logging in and out of your account to access the content.
