The gaming industry has shown tremendous evolution through the years, with high-end PCs no longer a mandatory requirement for people who want to get started with gaming. The industry, which was ruled by a niche group of developers and required high-end hardware, to go competitive, is now a more inclusive industry that allows anyone with a good enough smartphone, to actually compete at a higher level.
Recently, Apple introduced gaming optimizations in the iPhone, and today, the App Store boasts one of the most comprehensive gaming libraries in the world. With games ranging from indie classics to more high-end titles, the iPhone has now become a serious contender, as far handheld gaming is concerned.
At the center of it all, is the Apple Game Center. Much like the Play Games app on Android, the Apple Game Center keeps a record of your gaming activities, not just on your iPhone, but on any other Apple device that features your Apple ID. It keeps track of the games you have installed on your devices, the games you love to play, the progress in each of the games you have played so far, and also the list of friends you have added to your list.
