Google’s Android app now includes the ability to remove the last 15 minutes of your search history.
“We are presently rolling out this functionality on the Google app for Android, and we anticipate that it will be available to everyone using the app over the next few weeks,” according to a Google representative, Ned Adriance.
It has taken some time for this feature to make its way into the Android application. Google first revealed the function at Google I/O in May, and it was added to the Google iOS app a few months later. Google stated at the time that it would be available on the Android version of the app later in 2021, but for some reason, the company failed to meet that goal. In May, Google did not indicate which platforms would be supported, and in July, the company only stated that it will be available in the iOS and Android applications. It is unknown whether the feature would be made available on desktop computers in the future.
Google also has a function that allows you to have things in your search history that are three, 18, or 36 months old immediately deleted.
