Users in Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, and Australia may register for the open beta of Google Play Games on their PCs beginning today. Normally, this library of games would be limited to Chromebooks or other Android-enabled devices, but it will soon be available for customers in those nations to run natively on PCs.
Although Windows 11 users have had access to Android applications through the Amazon app store for some time, the open beta is not presently accessible in other areas. Google first revealed plans to bring its Android game library to Windows PCs in December of last year.
At the debut, the test will contain roughly 50 games, including titles like Summoners War, Cookie Run: Kingdom, Last Fortress: Underground, and Top War, which have a player population in the hundreds of millions.
In addition to the ability to play on a larger screen, which allows for greater performance and extra control choices, Google Play Games allows you to sync your progress between platforms, allowing you to take a single save game from your PC to your mobile device and back again.
There are plans to expand the beta to other markets later this year, but no specific dates have been specified.
