Google Enhances Chrome’s Privacy Controls with Upcoming ‘Tracking Protection’ Section

Google is actively working on improving Chrome’s privacy controls with the introduction of a dedicated ‘Tracking Protection’ section in its Settings menu. This development aims to streamline users’ access to various tools designed to enhance their protection against web tracking, according to reports from Windows Insider, which claims to have unearthed hints of this update within Chromium code commits.

One of the notable features under development is enhanced protection against third-party cookie domain tracking, designed to empower Chrome users in preventing advertisers from tracking their activities across different websites. Windows Insider speculates that a toggle to activate protection against third-party cookie domain tracking could find its place within the forthcoming Tracking Protection section.
