Google Calendar Receives a Game-Changing Upgrade with an Impressive New Feature

Google Calendar, the popular scheduling app for Android, is set to receive a game-changing upgrade that will streamline event planning and enhance its functionality. The new feature, a “Share” button for events, allows event organizers to invite a large number of people at once without the hassle of individually adding each contact’s email address. While initially introduced in March 2023, the feature was incomplete at the time. Now, thanks to a preview shared by Twitter user AssembleDebug and reported on by Android Police, users can see how it works and anticipate its imminent release.

The Share button will appear under the name and date of a created event. When tapped, users can choose from various apps to share the event details, such as Telegram, WhatsApp, or Discord. The recipients of the invitation will then have the option to respond with “Yes,” “No,” or “Maybe,” and the event link will be forwarded to their email addresses.

The introduction of this feature is long overdue and addresses a common pain point for event organizers who frequently send out invitations to numerous participants. With the ability to share event details through various platforms, the process becomes more efficient, saving time and effort for both the organizer and the invitees.
