The feature, while now available to more users, is still limited to a select group of Android 13-capable phones from Google and Xiaomi. Google Pixel 4a and later models are compatible, while Xiaomi users need at least a 12T model. Both the Chromebook and the phone must be connected to the same WiFi network and located physically close to each other. While some networks may not support the feature, Chrome OS’ Instant Tethering can establish a link if required.
