Galaxy S23 FE Leak Hints at Potential Slowdown in Wireless Charging Speed

The leaked information for the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE (Fan Edition) suggests that the upcoming budget smartphone may have slow wireless charging capabilities. The Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) listing indicates a “maximum received power” rating of 4.4 watts for wireless charging, leading to speculation that it could take “three or more hours” to fully charge the phone wirelessly. However, it’s worth noting that Samsung’s previous Fan Edition phone, the Galaxy S21 FE, supported 15W wireless charging, so there’s a possibility that the S23 FE may also have improved charging capabilities.

Samsung’s Vice-President of Mobile in South Africa, Justin Hume, recently mentioned the existence of an “FE-sized gap” between the Galaxy A54 5G and Galaxy S23, hinting at a new Fan Edition device’s imminent announcement. The WPC post’s registration date of July 25 has led to speculation that Samsung might be preparing to announce the model soon.

The leaked image of the S23 FE shows the front of the phone with bezels around the screen and buttons on the right side, but there is no photo of the rear, leaving the camera system a mystery. Recent renders suggest it will be similar to the standard Galaxy S23.

As with any leaked information, it’s essential to take this with caution, and official details from Samsung’s announcement are still awaited to confirm the charging capabilities and other features of the Galaxy S23 FE.
