ExpressVPN’s Overhaul: Samuel Bultez, Head of Product at ExpressVPN, expressed, “ExpressVPN’s services help millions of users take control of their digital lives every day, so we constantly strive to deliver more value and a better experience to them.”
The revamp by this secure VPN provider introduces five new tools and improvements:
- Ad Blocker: Tired of disruptive and invasive ads during your browsing sessions? ExpressVPN’s new tool effectively filters out most display ads and prevents them from loading in your browser.
- Adult Site Blocker: An extension of the existing advanced protection features, this tool utilizes open-source blocklists to block adult sites. It provides parents with enhanced control over the content their children can access.
- Expanded Server Network: Users can now access a more diverse range of IP addresses and locations as ExpressVPN expands its network from 94 to 105 countries.
- Enhanced Multiple-Device Policy: ExpressVPN has not only increased its server count but also expanded its device allowance, enabling eight simultaneous connections with just one subscription.
- Auto-Update Feature: This feature, available on ExpressVPN desktop apps, eliminates the need for manual app updates, ensuring the latest version for optimal security.
The new ad and adult-site blocker is designed to complement ExpressVPN’s existing Threat Manager system, a web tracker and malware blocker that can be activated or deactivated directly from the settings menu.
To activate these new protections, visit the advanced protection settings tab available for Windows, Android, and iOS. Linux and Mac support is anticipated to be released in the coming months.
