Newly leaked promotional images have provided a closer look at the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, indicating that these smartwatches may arrive as early as the end of July. The leaked images, shared by WinFuture via XDA Developers, showcase the two models from various angles, offering insight into their design and color options. Notably, the Classic model brings back the beloved rotating bezel cherished by Samsung Galaxy Watch enthusiasts.
The standard Galaxy Watch 6 is presented in black, silver, and beige variants, with WinFuture suggesting that these colors will likely extend to other Samsung products unveiled at the upcoming Unpacked event. This event is expected to feature the introduction of devices such as the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Tab S9, among others.
In the leaked images, the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is showcased in black and silver, but additional colors may be available upon release. Samsung may choose to offer different color options based on regional availability or even reserve certain colors exclusively for its online store customers.
According to WinFuture, the dimensions of the Galaxy Watch 6 remain consistent, with options for 40 mm and 44 mm sizes, while the OLED screens are slightly larger and feature scratch-resistant sapphire glass. The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, with its rotating bezel, is expected to come in sizes of 43 mm and 47 mm. Additionally, the Classic model may offer a leather strap option, catering to those seeking a more premium experience. Both the standard and classic models will boast water resistance of up to 50 meters.
It is worth noting that last year’s Galaxy Watch 4 lineup introduced standard and Classic variants, while the previous generation included the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, which lacked the iconic rotating bezel. The leaked images suggest the return of the Classic branding for the 2023 models.
The official unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is anticipated to occur during Samsung’s upcoming Unpacked showcase, likely taking place in the last week of July. Alongside aesthetic updates, these new smartwatches are expected to feature enhanced health tracking capabilities and a faster processor, offering an upgraded user experience.
