Dell has unveiled a trio of cutting-edge displays that promise to revolutionize eye comfort. The upgraded additions to its UltraSharp display range bring forth innovations that aim to reduce eye strain to an unprecedented level.
The standout feature of these displays is the doubled refresh rate, now at 120Hz. This enhancement not only promises smoother browsing and streaming experiences but also contributes to reduced eye fatigue. Dell has also incorporated an ambient light sensor that intelligently adjusts brightness and color tone to match the surrounding environment.
One of the most notable advancements in these displays is Dell’s ComfortView Plus technology, a blue light reduction feature. This technology claims to lower blue light exposure from the previous levels of up to 50% to a more eye-friendly less than 35%.
Dell’s commitment to eye comfort is underscored by the fact that a pair of 27-inch monitors in this new range has received a prestigious five-star certification for eye comfort, accredited and developed by TUV Rheinland. This certification reflects the monitors’ excellence across 15 testing categories.
The 27-inch monitors offer a 2560×1440 QHD display and a variety of common port types, including USB-C, DisplayPort, HDMI, and Ethernet. The standard model, priced at $479.99, is accompanied by a Thunderbolt Hub monitor, available for $649.99. The Thunderbolt Hub monitor supports daisy-chaining and can deliver up to 90W of power.
For those seeking a more compact option, a 23.8-inch model (referred to as 24-inch) is also part of the lineup, with or without USB-C daisy-chaining and 90W power delivery. Only the higher-priced model includes an Ethernet connection. Both versions come with 1920×1080 FHD displays and are available for $379.99 and $459.99, with orders starting on November 9.
Additionally, Dell is offering video conferencing editions for the 24- and 27-inch displays. These editions come equipped with a built-in Sony STARVIS webcam, capable of recording in 2K QHD. It’s important to note that these models do not support daisy-chaining.
A final addition to the lineup is a 34-inch monitor, exclusively available as a Video Conferencing Monitor version. It features the same 2K webcam and boasts a WQHD curved display with a 21:9 aspect ratio.
The video conferencing displays are priced at $509.99 for the 24-inch version (available on November 30), $699.99 for the 27-inch version (available on December 7), and $949.99 for the 34-inch model (available now).
These displays represent a significant leap in eye comfort technology, offering an array of options to cater to different user preferences and needs.
