Customers in several states can now shop at Apple Stores without wearing a mask

Apple’s website has since been updated to indicate which stores require masks. When you use Apple’s retail store locator to find a store, the site will tell you whether masks are “required,” “recommended,” or “optional” for vaccinated customers at specific locations. Masks are still required in states with stricter regulations, such as Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington. Face masks are only required in some states, such as New York and Connecticut, for fully vaccinated customers.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Apple has changed its mask policy in accordance with local recommendations. Apple has a history of making changes quickly — in November, the company began phasing out mask requirements at retail locations, only to reinstate them again in December as COVID-19 cases increased.
