These search highlights will cover holidays, anniversaries, and other significant dates in history. Recent search results will be presented on the right, and if you sign in with a work account, files and contacts will be displayed via Microsoft Search. You can always disable the search highlights function, which is also being rolled out to Windows 10.
Microsoft is also developing additional enhancements to clean up some of Windows’ past. The Print Queue has been modified to match the look of Windows 11, Quick Assist and Windows Sandbox now include Fluent design icons, and Windows Media Player has been renamed Windows Media Player Legacy. It’s obvious that the new Media Player program for Windows 11 will eventually result in the demise of Windows Media Player.
