The reason for the delay is that Bluesky seeks to be a decentralised social network, and for that to be achieved successfully, they need to enable users to migrate their identities and content seamlessly across different servers, and for that, the company is developing the AT Protocol. Once it is ready, the Bluesky Social Network will be deployed the way users want to see it.
