The company has begun testing the device to ensure its compatibility with third-party App Store apps, a process that usually takes place before the release of a new device. Developer logs indicate that the machine was configured with an eight-core CPU and 10-core GPU, along with 8GB of RAM, suggesting that it will feature an M2 chipset, rather than the next-generation M3 chip that was previously rumored.
