Gurman cites Apple’s recent earnings call as further proof that the upgraded MacBook Pro line will not be available this year. During the call, Apple CEO Tim Cook stated that the company’s product lineup is “set” for the holiday season, while chief financial officer Luca Maestri stated that he expects Mac revenue to “decrease substantially” in December, possibly due to Apple’s decision not to release a new MacBook Pro this year. Apple’s new 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros added $10.9 billion in Mac revenue last October, but it doesn’t appear that Apple expects the same trend this year.
