Apple Watch Series 9 is set to receive a new processor technology that could enhance its battery life, according to regular Apple information source Mark Gurman. In his newsletter’s Discord channel, Gurman claims that the new processor that will power the S9 SiP (system-in-package) will be based on the Apple A15 chip, which is notably more advanced than the A13 chip currently used. A more efficient chip could boost the battery life of the Series 9 even if nothing else changes. The new chip will probably be made using either a 4nm or 5nm process, which will make it more energy-efficient.
