Apple Rumored to Announce New iMac and MacBook Pro Models in October Event

Sources Hint at Imminent Mac Launch and Long-Awaited Updates

This month has seen a flurry of speculations surrounding an Apple product launch, with conflicting reports on whether it will happen or not. However, Bloomberg’s renowned tech analyst, Mark Gurman, now asserts that the October event is indeed on the horizon, and it could finally bring a long-overdue upgrade to the beloved iMac.

In his Power On newsletter, Gurman reveals that sources close to Apple have provided information pointing to a Mac launch scheduled for this month. Citing current retail supplies and shipping dates for specific models, Gurman hints at the possibility of a new iMac and potential updates to the MacBook Pro lineup.

Gurman notes that “Apple retail stores are in short supply of the iMac, as well as the 13-inch MacBook Pro and high-end MacBook Pro — two other models that may be due for a refresh.” Shipping estimates for these models show delays extending into November, signaling that Apple likely has something up its sleeve. The timing of the company’s earnings call, which has been moved to November this year instead of its usual October schedule, further adds to the anticipation. Gurman speculates that the launch event could potentially take place around October 30 or 31.

The 24-inch M1 iMac made its debut in April 2021 and has remained unchanged since then, making it a prime candidate for a much-anticipated refresh. Similarly, the 13-inch M2 MacBook Pro, which was introduced in June 2022, is also overdue for an update. Apple enthusiasts and tech aficionados alike are eagerly awaiting these potential announcements, anticipating exciting enhancements and features that Apple may bring to its Mac lineup.
